Contingency Fees

Very few people have the resources to fund litigation at the best of times and suffering a serious personal injury can place additional financial strain on an already short budget. For this reason we offer our services for personal injury claims on a contingency fee basis.

This means that we will assist with your personal injury claim and receive payment only if we are successful in recovering money for you. If no money is recovered, you will not be charged any legal fees. In many cases the contingent fee will be one third of the amount recovered.

Prior to commencing work we will enter into a written contingent fee retainer agreement that confirms the terms of our retainer and the scope of the work that we will do on your behalf. The contingency retainer agreement will specify:

  • what services the retainer agreement covers
  • the percentage of fees we will be entitled to if we are successful in recovering money for you
  • an example of how the contingency fee will be calculated
  • how and when the retainer agreement can be terminated
