When Should you Review your Will?

You should review your Will and Estate Plan at least every three years to ensure that it is consistent with changes in your estate, and with your intentions. Certain changes in your life justify revising your will, such as when:

  • you marry, separate or divorce
  • you have or adopt a child
  • you acquire assets not described in an earlier estate plan
  • you change your plans for the distribution of your estate
  • changes in the law affect the objectives of your present plan
